Director's Message

Lingaya`s  Institute of Health  Sciences (Nursing) was established  in the yea r of   2007  by “ Lingayas  Jankalyan  Shikshan  Sanstha”  in the memory of the great freedom fighter Late Shri Gadde Lingaya who sacrificed his life at the altar of freedom for his motherland. Since its very  foundations are  based on the dreams of a  noble  visionary  son of India, its single objective and  mission is to facilitate  and to promote , prevent and rehabilitate the health     of    society  with   a focus  on  professional  nursing  education  in  emerging  areas  in  the disciplines  of health  and nursing science etc.  and  also to achieve excellence in these and related fields, thereby to equip the students to become effective nusing professionals with career  prospects to  meet the  emerging  global and health  industries needs of the society and the nation in the 21st century.

Besides   imparting  knowledge  required  for a nursing profession in the field of nursing by the  carefully  planned  instructions of INC  (indian nursing council)  and  guidance for self-learning  in  both  formal  and  informal  modes,  the institute  continuously  monitors  the progress  of the students though faculty counsellors. The institute has a well set system of interaction with parents with a focus on academic achievements of their wards.

The  institute`s  motto  is  to create  a well-disciplined  manpower  by  inculcating  in  them ethical, social  and moral values  through well structured “ Value Added Courses” resulting in the overall development of their personality.
